The
Internet presents many legal and personal dangers, and today's
technologically savvy teens are particularly susceptible to these
risks. These temptations only increase in environments that
provide ready access to broadband and that reward technological
competence. High-achieving IT students therefore need peer-level,
appropriate guidance, because many are unaware of the risks caused by
their online habits. The CYBERGUARD Project was conceived in 2004
to provide this guidance in the school environment, using
age-appropriate and interactive methods.
